7,150 Metric Tons Of Apples Produced In Mustang

Mustang has produced 7,150 metric tonnes of apples this year. The farmers of Mustang have earned Rs 71 crores this year through the production of apples. Last year, 6500 metric tons of apples was produced in Mustang, but this year it has produced 550 metric tons more.

Although the total area under apple cultivation in Mustang is 1400 hectares, only 500 hectares of land produces the apple.The increase in apple production was due to the favorable climate of Mustang, expansion and promotion of apple cultivation, development of technology, control of apple outbreaks and progress in orchard management. Farmers have sold apple in their orchards at a price of Rs 100 per kg through contract.
