Average Capacity Utilization Of industries In Bagmati Province At 47.4 Percent

The average capacity utilization of industries in Bagmati province is at 47.4 percent in the last fiscal year 2078/79.
According to a provincial study report of NRB, the capacity utilization of the industries has increased by 5 percent as compared to the previous fiscal year. In the previous fiscal year 2077/78, the capacity utilization of industries in Bagmati province stood at 42.4 percent during the same period.
The capacity utilization of noodles producing industries is highest while the capsule producing pharmaceuticals industries have the lowest capacity utilization.
Similarly, the capacity utilization of industries producing cold drinks, bear, paint, medicine, shoes and electricity has increased while the production of milk, cigarrates, noodles, garment, bricks and cement declined.
As per the Central Bureau Of Statistics, Bagmati Province is expected to contribute 36.9 percent in the national Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the current fiscal year.
Until the Ashad’s end of 2079 BS, banks and financial institutions have floated Rs. 8.42 Kharba as loans and advances to the industrial sector of the Bagmati province. This is 6 percent lower as compared to the Ashad’s end 2078 BS.
Of the total credit, Kathmandu District has the highest industrial credit flow of 89.8 percent while Rasuwa district has the lowest credit from BFIs that account to 0.03 percent.
