Bijay Bahadur Shah Appointed CEO Of Himalayan General Insurance

Bijay Bahadur Shah has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Himalayan General Insurance Company (HGI). A meeting of the company’s board of directors held on Magh 28, 2078 BS appointed him for four years with effect from today [Falgun 1, 2078 BS]. The board of directors has appointed Shah after the outgoing chief executive officer Sushil Bajracharya resigned due to personal reasons.
Shah left Nepal Insurance Company last Shrawan. After the end of his cooling period of six months, the Insurance Board has given permission for his appointment as the Chief Executive Officer of HGI. Prior to Shah Nepal Insurance, he was the Chief Executive Officer of NLG for two terms.
Shah has more than 35 years of work experience. He has twice led the Nepal Insurers Association.
