Dar Khola Hydropower Company To Develop 6.5 MW Hydropower Project In Myagdi

Dar Khola Hydropower Company is going to construct 6.5 MW Dar Khola hydropower project in Myagdi. 

The company has submitted an application to the Department of Electricity Development for the construction permit of this project after the completion of the study.

According to the promoter company, the construction of the project will be started as soon as the permission is received from the department. 

The department has sought opinions and suggestions from the concerned stakeholders about the adverse effects that may occur during the construction and operation of the project. The department has requested the stakeholders to send their opinions and suggestions within 35 days from the date of issue of the notice.

The project is a Run-of-river project with a flow of 1.44 cubic meters per second and a total head of 548 meters .

After the completion of the constuction, the project will generate 35.98 gigawatt hours of electricity annually. A electricity produced from the power plant will be connected to the national transmission line through the proposed substation at Dandakhet through a 7 km long 33 KV transmission line.
