Sagarmatha Insurance Company Limited (SIC) is a leading non-life insurance company of Nepal, established in 1996 as the first foreign joint venture with Ceylinco Insurance PLC, Srilanka. The promoters hold the 51 percent shares in the company. Likewise, Ceylinco Insurance Company, PLC has 20 percent ownership and the balance 29 percent is possessed by public shareholders.
