Donald Trump admires Apple CEO Tim Cook for his direct approach

The US President Donald Trump has praised Apple CEO, Tim Cook. Trump said that Cook always calls Trump whenever there is a problem and they discuss out solutions to the issues. For instance, Trump and Cook discussed the ongoing tariff issues that have hampered the performance of Apple due to the worsening relationship with China. China is one of the biggest markets for Apple products.
He also remarked that no other executive calls him except for Cook. He further added: “Others go out and hire very expensive consultants while Tim Cook calls Donald Trump directly.”
Tim Cook previously argued that 10 percent tariff on Apple products would be unfair and make it hard to compete with Samsung. Samsung, the company based in South Korea need not pay tariff while tariff policy decisions would hugely affect the performance of a great company like Apple.
Trump has also stated that he would help a great company like Apple to sort out tariff issues to compete with rival companies like Samsung. Last week, Cook and Trump dined together at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey. They share a good relationship with each other.
