Former French President Valery Giscard d’Estaing has died of the corona virus. Credit for uniting France goes to 94-year-old Valerie.
Valerie, who served as president from 1974 to 1981, had been suffering from respiratory problems for several days. He had returned home after recovering from the hospital only last year. He got admission into the hospital due to ill health a few days ago. The hospital said Valery breathed his last on Wednesday night.
He is also one of the planners of the European Union (EU). The Valery Foundation said that its founder was infected from corona virus. The EU, meanwhile, issued a statement on Thursday expressing its condolences over the death of its founding member.
