Global IME Bank Signs Agreement With NIDS | Bank To Provide Concessional Loans On Recommendation Of NIDS

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Global IME Bank Limited and Nepal Institute of Development Studies (NIDS) to provide concessional loans as well as financial literacy and entrepreneurship training to the people of the target community.

As per the agreement, on the recommendation of the Nepal Institute of Development Studies, Global IME Bank Limited will provide concessional loans to youths returning from foreign employment, dependent families of workers in foreign employment, people rescued from human trafficking, and individuals from the target community and region.

Nepal Institute of Development Studies, in coordination with the concerned local government, will make a list of target persons by soliciting applications for selection in the program. The institute will provide appropriate orientation training to the selected persons and will recommend to the bank for the concessional loans.

The MoU has been signed by Ratna Raj Bajracharya, Chief Executive Officer of Global IME Bank Limited, and Chiranjeevi Baral, Executive Director of Nepal Institute of Development Studies.
