Himtal Hydropower Company To Survey 327 MW Upper Marsyangdi-2 Hydropower Project

Himtal Hydropower Company Pvt. Ltd. is planning to develop Upper Marsyangdi-2 Hydropower Project. The company has received the permission from the Department of Electricity Development to survey the project.
The Department granted the survey license to the company on Karthik 6, 2079 BS. The survey license is valid until Karthik 5, 2081 BS.
Upper Marsyangdi-2 Hydropower Project is a Peaking Run of the River type project with an installed capacity of 327 MW. The project will be built in Marsyangdi River in Manang and Lamjung district of Gandaki Province.
After completing the survey within the given time period, the company can then apply for the construction permit.
The project will generate 1,934 GWh of electricity annually.
