How To Pay Electricity Bill Online In Nepal? [7 Easy Steps]

Everything has become online these days. Previously, when you had to pay for your electricity bill, you need to go to the counter allocated for your area, wait in lines and pay the cash amount. This probably took 2-3 hours of your time and the hassle of waiting in line. But now, you can pay your electricity bill in less than 5 minutes.

The online payment of electricity bill takes only few easy steps. Below are the seven steps you need to follow in order to pay your bills online.
Step 1: Visit Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) Website
If you are new to this, you need to first visit the website of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA). For this, Click the link: https://www.nea.org.np/. The front page of the website of NEA appears as shown below:

Step 2: Select ‘Consumers’ Menu and Click ‘Pay Your Bill Online’
After you are in the web page of NEA, Click the menu ‘Consumers’ as highlighted by the red box in the image below. Then click ‘Pay your Bill Online’ as shown by the green box.
Step 3: Select Online Payment Method
After you click on ‘Pay your Bill Online’, a new page appears showing you the various banks and financial institutions or payment service provider through which you can make the online payment of your electricity bill. You should have account in one of these BFIs or payment service providers. At present, you can pay the electricity bill online through Esewa, Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank, Nepal Investment Bank, Prabhu Bank and Himalayan Bank. The image below presents this and you should click on the one where you have an account.
Step 4: Login Into The Online Payment Service Provider
For ease, here we have selected ‘Esewa’ which directs into the login page of Esewa. You need to login into your account by providing your User Id and Password. This is shown in the image below:
Step 5: Select ‘Electricity’ For Payment
After you login, you need to select ‘Electricity’ sub-menu for the payment of your electricity bill. This is highlighted by the red box in the image below:
Step 6: Provide Necessary Information such as Counter, Sc Number and Customer Id
You will then be directed to a page requiring you to provide information such as Counter, Sc Number and Customer Id. If you don’t know about this, just check your electricity bill provided to you. Fill these information and click on ‘Proceed’. This is presented in the sample image below.
Step 7: Pay You Electricity Bill Amount
Finally, enter the amount you have to pay as per your bill. Click on ‘Proceed’ and you are done. You have just paid your electricity bill sitting at your home.

How can i find my sc no and costumer id for online payment . Do i need to do some documental process first for online payment or not ?
In my bill there is trans no , con no , and name , but not costumer id .
