IME General Insurance Announces 6.84 Percent Dividend

IME General Insurance Company Limited (IGI) has announced the dividend to the shareholders. The dividend declaration is from the fiscal year 2078/79.
The non-life insurance company has proposed a 6.84 percent dividend. The total dividend includes a 6.5 percent bonus share and a 0.34 percent cash dividend (for the tax purpose). The company is planning to distribute the bonus share worth Rs. 11.06 crores and cash dividend worth Rs. 58.21 lakhs.
The dividend is subject to approval from Nepal Insurance Authority and the company’s upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM).
From the previous fiscal year 2077/78, IME General Insurance had distributed a 7.37 percent dividend, including a 7 percent bonus share and 0.37 percent cash dividend.
As of Ashad’s end 2079 BS, IME General Insurance has a paid-up capital of Rs 170.16 crores. After the adjustment of the 6.5 percent bonus share, the capital will rise to Rs 181.22 crores.
