Import Of Mobile Phones Doubles In 3 Years

Import Of Mobile phones has doubled in three years. According to the statistics of the customs department, the import of mobile phones has doubled by Falgun end of the fiscal year 2077/78 as compared to the fiscal year 2075/76.
Until the Falgun end of the fiscal year 2075/76, mobile phones worth Rs. 12.63 billion have been imported. This had increased to Rs 14.37 billion at the end of Falgun 2076/77. Similarly, mobile phones worth Rs. 26.30 billion have been imported till the end of Falgun of the Fiscal Year 2077/78. This is an increase of Rs. 13.67 billion compared to the same period of FY 2075/76.
29.34 lakh mobile phones have been imported till the end of Falgun of the fiscal year 2075/76. In the corresponding period of the Fiscal Year 2076/77, 37.71 lakh mobile phones have been imported. As of Falgun end of the current fiscal year, 49.93 lakh mobile phone have been imported in Nepal.
