Individual Labor Permit Via Online From Today

Nepali workers going for foreign employment will be able to do all the process online. The Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security has made all types of labor permits cashless and paperless. From today, new individual labor permits can be obtained online.
The department of foreign employment started providing the online labor re-permit service from Magh 2, 2078 BS. Similarly, from Baisakh 2, 2079 BS institutional labor permit could be done through online.
For new individual labor approval, visa, contract agreement, health examination certificate, orientation training certificate, skill-based employment certificate, self-declaration form, online life insurance and proof of deposit in welfare fund will have to be uploaded online.
According to the department, more than 500,000 labor permits have been issued in the first 10 months of the current fiscal year. Such number stood at 167,000 last year.
