Insurance Facility Of Up to 5 Lakh For Pathao Customers And Drivers

Pathao Nepal, a ride-sharing and food delivery app has signed a partnership letter with Everest Insurance Company to provide insurance facility to customers and drivers. Under the agreement, any customer and driver during the ride will receive a maximum insurance amount of up to Rs. 500,000 in case of accidental death or disability.
In addition, the customer and rider/driver will also get accident treatment insurance up to Rs 1 lakh. In order to use both these services, the concerned person has to apply within 30 days after the accident along with the documents prescribed by the rules of the insurance company. Any customer and rider/driver using the Pathao app can take this facility.
Asimman Singh Basnyat, Regional Director, said that customers and drivers can be confident after signing the partnership letter with Everest Insurance Company.
Pathao, which started its service on September 25, 2018, has so far trained more than 75,000 riders and more than 1.3 million customers have downloaded the Pathao app. Pathao has a two-wheeled and four-wheeled ride-sharing service and has recently launched a food delivery service.
