Isuwa Energy to Construct 37.7 MW Isuwa Khola PRoR Cascade HEP

Isuwa Energy Pvt. Ltd. is going to construct Isuwa Khola PRoR Cascade Hydroelectric Project (HEP). Department of Electricity Development has granted the license for the project to the company for the construction of the project. The department issued the license on Poush 6, 2078 BS. The construction license has validity until Poush 5, 2113 BS.
Isuwa Khola PRoR Cascade Hydroelectric Project (HEP) has an installed capacity of 37.7 MW. It will generate electricity through Isuwa Khola located at Makalu, Sankhuwasabha.
The company has already signed the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Nepal Electricity Authority. As per the agreement, the company will sell the electricity generated from the project to NEA at Rs 8.40 per unit in dry season and Rs 4.80 per unit in rainy season. The electricity produced from the project will be connected to Sheetalpati substation which is 15 km away from the power house.
The estimated cost of the project is Rs 13 crores per megawatt.
