Union Mewa Hydro To Construct Mewa Khola HEP (23 MW)

Union Mewa Hydro Limited is going to construct Mewa Khola Hydroelectric Project. The company has received the construction license for the project from the Department of Electricity Development (DOED). The department provided the license on Magh 2, 2077 BS. The construction license has validity until Magh 1, 2021 BS.
Mewa Khola Hydroelectric Project is a run of river hydropower project located in the Taplejung district. It has an installed capacity of 23 MW. The project will generate 136.797 GWh of electricity annually. Out of the total, about 42.593 GWh of electricity will be generated during the dry season. Likewise, the project will produce 94.205 GWh of electricity during the wet season.
