The app contains the details of 2.15 crore citizens with the Ministry of Home Affairs and the fingerprints, photos and personal details of 1.55 crore voters in the Election Commission.
You can start your account by downloading the ‘Nagarik’ app from your phone. The facility can be availed by logging into the app from the mobile number registered in one’s name and choosing one of the options of citizenship, voter identity card or passport and filling in the details. For security, an OTP verification code is sent to a mobile number registered in one’s own name.
