Nepal Bank Posts Net Profit Of Rs 1.41 Arba [Q2 Report]

Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) has posted a net profit of Rs 1.41 Arba until the second quarter of the current fiscal year 2078/79. The bank’s profit has increased by 4 percent as compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.

However, the operating profit has plunged by almost 20 percent. Nepal Bank has earned an operating profit of Rs 1.63 Arba, down from Rs 2.04 Arba of the same period last year. The decline in the operating profit is due to the impairment charges of Rs 38.74 crores

As of Poush’s end 2078 BS, Nepal Bank has a paid-up capital of Rs 14.40 Arba. Likewise, the reserve and surplus remain at an impressive Rs 19.89 Arba. Until the second quarter of the current fiscal year, the bank has collected Rs 182.84 Arba as deposits and floated Rs 163.1 Arba as loans and advances to the customers.
