Nepal Chamber of Commerce Enters Into 70th Year

Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC), the oldest organization in Nepal’s trade and business sector has entered its 70th year from. At this occassion, NCC has paid tribute to the founders, past and present and current chairpersons of the chamber.

On the occasion of entering its 70th year, President Bidyadevi Bhandari felicitated the descendants of 11 late chairpersons of the chamber along with other past and present chairpersons at the annual function organized by the Nepal Chamber of Commerce at Rashtrapati Bhawan, Sheetal Niwas.

Addressing the function, President Bidyadevi Bhandari said the Chamber have been contributing to the development of the industry and commerce sector by embracing Nepali values ​​and norms and that has laid an important foundation for the economic development and expansion of trade and business in the country.

President Bhandari said that the chamber has played an important role in organizing various exhibitions to bring Nepali products to the international market as well as promoting the business and developing the business potential of the industrialists.

Speaking on the occasion, Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel said that the government could move ahead by discussing the problems of the private sector as it has moved ahead with the budget formulation work.

Finance Minister Poudel also mentioned that the government has always been ready to move forward with the private sector and solve the problems of the sector.

Chairman of Nepal Chamber of Commerce Rajesh Kaji Shrestha suggested the Finance Minister to bring the upcoming budget focusing on increasing the purchasing power of the people, increasing revenue collection and increasing employment.
