Non-Life Insurance Claims Worth Rs 1.92 Arba Demanded

Various non-life insurance companies have received insurance claims of more than Rs 1.92 Arba. The claims are due to physical damage caused by floods and landslides in different parts of the country due to the recent incessant rains.
As of last Wednesday, 331 insurance claims have been registered in the 20 non-life insurance companies under property insurance, motor insurance, agriculture and livestock insurance, engineering insurance, and miscellaneous insurance.
According to the insurance board, out of these insurance claims, 141 are property insurance claims worth Rs 69.36 crores. Similarly, under engineering insurance, 107 projects under construction damaged by floods and landslides have claimed around Rs 90.34 crores. Likewise, 33 motor claims have been registered with a total amount of Rs 4.45 crores.
Also, under Agricultural insurance and livestock insurance, claims worth Rs 1.62 crores and Rs 1.55 crores respectively have been demanded.
