The number of investors trading online in the stock market has reached 306,000. The attraction of investors in online trading has increased due to the fact that they can trade electronically from a convenient place and there is no hassle of going to the broker’s office.

Investors can buy and sell shares themselves in electronic transactions. You don’t have to tell the broker to buy and sell shares. You can trade at the desired price by looking at the market depth yourself. It’s easy to buy and sell shares once you’ve logged in and started trading.

According to Nepse, 85 to 90 percent of the daily transactions are done online. As of Sunday (January 31), 3,06,062 people have taken ‘password’ and ‘username’ for online trading.

There are about 20 lakh investors that are involved in the capital market. However, Nepse estimates that there are around 500,000 eligible investors in the secondary market.

Lately, Nepse has asked securities brokers to pay online through Connect IPS. Likewise, brokers have also urged the investors to make the payment for purchases through electronic means.
