Rastriya Banijya Bank Posts Rs 1.91 Arba in Net Profit [Q2 Report]

Rastriya Banijya Bank has reported a 10 percent rise in net profit until the second quarter of the current fiscal year 2078/79. The bank has posted a net profit of Rs 1.91 Arba, up from Rs 1.74 Arba of the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.

The rise in net profit is due to the incline in the net interest income by 15 percent. RBB earned Rs 4.52 Arba as the net interest income in the six months period. Last year, such income stood at Rs 3.91 Arba in the same period.

As of Poush’s end 2078 BS, Rastriya Banijya Bank has a paid-up capital of Rs 13.94 Arba with Rs 17.23 Arba as reserve and surplus. The bank has collected Rs 242.56 Arba as deposits from the customers. Likewise, it has floated Rs 195.43 Arba as loans and advances.

The bank is able to reduce the non-performing loan (NPL) to 3.06 percent. However, the base rate has risen to 6.6 percent. Looking into the per share ratios, RBB has an annualized EPS of Rs 27.54 while the per-share networth stood at Rs 223.6.
