Rastriya Banijya Bank To Sell 25 Lakh Units Of “RBBL Debenture-2089”

Rastriya Banijya Bank Limited (RBBL) is going to issue a debenture named “RBBL Debenture-2089”.

For this purpose, the bank has submitted the application to Securities Board Of Nepal (SEBON) on Bhadra 14, 2079 BS seeking permission for debenture issuance. Only after the permission from the regulatory body, the bank can sell the debenture to the general public.

Rastriya Banijya Bank is planning to sell 25 lakh units debenture. The par value of each unit of debenture is Rs 1,000. Hence, the total debenture issue is worth Rs 2.5 Arba.

Out of the total issue, the bank will sell 15 lakh units debenture worth Rs. 1.5 Arba through private placement. Likewise, the bank will issue 10 lakh units debentures to the general public. Thus, the total public issue amounts to Rs. 1 Arba.

The debenture will provide 10.50 percent interest per annum to the investors. The maturity period of the debenture is 7 years. Hence, the bank will refund the principal amount in 2086 BS.

The bank has appointed Sanima Capital Limited as the issue and sales manager. The agreement was signed by Kaviraj Adhikari, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Bank and Bhishma Raj Chalise, Chief Executive Officer of Sanima Capital Limited.
