Samsung and Apple to profit from Huawei blacklisting

The US has blacklisted Huawei as a result of which it cannot perform business with the American firms and vice versa. According to one of the key analyst, this blacklisting will boost Samsung and Apple to increase its share in smartphone sales globally.

Huawei, which is currently the second largest smartphone maker in the world only trails to Samsung and leads Apple in smartphone sales. But the Chinese company could now see the major drop in smartphone shipments and sales.  The shipment per month is expected to decline by 10 million if it could not use the Google Android software platform in its devices.

The company sold 200 million smartphones last year. According to the top analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo the drop in the company’s smartphone sales will mainly benefit Samsung and Apple.

“We think the most important impact would be losing brand trust if Huawei couldn’t offer stable shipments due to the U.S. export ban,” Kuo expressed her view through a note.
