SEBON issues performance appraisal report after protest from investors

Securities Board Of Nepal (SEBON) has issued a press release regarding its performance appraisal. After the investors targeted the regulating board during their protest due to the ongoing crisis in the stock market, SEBON released the report of its performance appraisal.
The current crisis seen in the stock market of Nepal has led the investors’ pressure group to protest against the regulating authorities and lock down their buildings. The ineffectiveness in the online trading system has further added the spice in the market. SEBON has released the report including the works that have been implemented as suggested by the Money and Capital Market Committee. The Committee was formed by the government to make market reforms after the pressure from investors’ association.
The stock market has been continuously declining in the past 3 years. Investors have lost a huge amount of their savings in the market. Seeing no hope of a market rebound, they have resorted to the path of protest against the government and its regulating authorities.
