Startup Idea Call Launched For Entrepreneurs With Innovative Thinking

The deadline for Startup Idea Call has been extended for 15 more days. Interested youth with innovative ideas can submit the application until February 27, 2020 [Falgun 15, 2077 BS]. So far (until February 13) about 870 applications have been received.
The Bagmati State Government started a Startup Idea Call for the youth who want to become entrepreneurs with innovative thinking since December 10, 2020 [Mangsir 24, 2077 BS]. As per the tripartite agreement, the Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment, Rastriya Banijya Bank, and Vishal Foundation had jointly launched the Start-up Ideas Call. Former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal inaugurated the task of calling for a new proposal through a website and video message.
As per the agreement, Rastriya Banijya Bank will provide the concessional loan up to a maximum of Rs. 1.5 million at a 3 percent interest rate to the selected entrepreneurs. The investment would be made for 200 youths doing business in the Bagmati State.
Chief Executive Officer of Rastriya Banijya Bank, Kiran Kumar Shrestha, urged the people to make good use of the loan as it is very cheap and simple. Vishal Gare, chief executive officer of the Vishal Foundation, said that the program would be extended to other states in the near future in tripartite cooperation.
