Riverside Hydro Energy Company to Develop 37.5 MW Tamor Khola-5 Hydropower Project

Riverside Hydro Energy Company is going to develop a 37.5 MW Tamor Khola-5 Hydropower Project.
The company has received the construction license for the project. The Department of Electricity Development (DOED) issued the license for the project on Chaitra 20, 2078 BS. The construction license is valid until Chaitra 19, 2013 BS.
The construction license is issued to the promoter company on the basis of the environmental impact assessment report and study report of the project approved by the Ministry of Forest and Environment.
The company is planning to develop the project in the river flowing through the Fattanglung rural municipality of Taplejung.
The project will generate 217.52 gigawatt-hours of electricity annually. The generated electricity will be connected to the Dhungesanghu substation of the Nepal Electricity Authority at a distance of 29 km through a 132 kV transmission line.
