Top 10 National Level Development Banks: Based on Net Profit

Currently, there are 10 national-level development banks operating in Nepal. Out of them, 2 development banks are in the merger/acquisition process with the ‘A’ class commercial banks. Kailash Bikas Bank is going to be acquired by Prime Commercial Bank. Likewise, Gandaki Bikas Bank is in the acquisition agreement with Mega Bank Nepal.

All the national level development banks have published the first quarter report of the fiscal year 2076/77. The combined total profit of national-level development banks stood at Rs. 117.30 crores.  Muktinath Bikas Bank tops the list with the highest profit of Rs. 22.88 crores. Garima Bikas Bank and Kailash Bikas Bank are close behind with Rs. 18.87 crores and Rs. 17.05 crores respectively.
