The United States has issued a fresh charge on Huawei accusing that the company has been trying to steal technology from US firms. The company has been accused of stealing trade secrets such as source code and robot technology from the US firms by the prosecutors.
In response to the accusations, Huawei has said that the US has been trying to damage its image. It further said that the US has been targeting Huawei because its expansion is a threat to American business interests. Huawei is one of the biggest smartphone makers in the world.
The Chief Financial Officer of the company, Meng Wanzhou, is still being held in Canada and looking for extradition to the United States. Last month, the US pressurized the UK to ban Huawei technology from their networks, but the country continued to use Huawei technology in its 5G networks with some restrictions.
