World Health Organization (WHO) has said that the vaccine against COVID-19 will be available only by mid-2021. The World Health Organization’s chief scientist said it would take at least the middle of next year for the vaccine to reach the market in large quantities.

Soumya Swaminathan, chief scientist of the World Health Organization, said this during a press conference on Friday. He told a news conference that “I think this vaccine will be available only after mid-2021 next year.” He said that the vaccine would be available in the market in different countries of the world.

He said the last batch of vaccines, the third level trial, would be completed by the end of this year. The chief scientist also said that the results of the trial would be available by the end of this year or early next year, after which the vaccine production process would begin.
