Xiaomi Becomes Nepal’s Number One Smart Phone

Smart phone brand Xiaomi has claimed to be the best-selling brand in Nepal. According to the global quarterly mobile phone tracker IDC, Xiaomi has succeeded in becoming the number one smart phone brand in Nepal, based on the first quarterly report of 2020.
The brand, which has been in operation since October 2018, has led Nepal’s smartphone market for the first time. The company claims that four of the top 10 smartphones sold in Nepal are Xiaomi devices. It has a market share of 30.9 percent in 2020 in Nepal.
In the first quarter of 2020, two of the top five smartphones were Xiaomi smartphones. Redmi Note 8 is leading the number one smart phone in Nepal and that Redmi 8 is following it, as disclosed by the company.
The company claims to be number one in all sales events of online sales partner Daraj.com. Xiaomi’s sale in Dashain is said to have made a big contribution to the brand. As offline growth could play a significant role in overall growth, Xiaomi has established more than 900 offline partners across the country in a single year, including 350 Mi preferred partner stores.
