Capacity Utilization of Industries in Lumbini Province at 50.44 Percent

The capacity utilization of industries in Lumbini province is at 50.44 percent in the first six months of the current fiscal year 2082/83.

According to a provincial study report of NRB, the capacity utilization of the industries has increased by 3.89 percent in the current fiscal year as compared to the previous fiscal year. In the previous fiscal year 2081/82, the capacity utilization of industries in Lumbini province stood at 46.55 percent during the same period.

The capacity utilization of noodles producing industries is highest at 98.86 percent. On the other hand, the dry syrup producing industries have the  lowest capacity utilization.

Until the Poush end of 2082BS, banks and financial institutions have floated Rs. 140.70 Arba as loans and advances to the industrial sector of the Lumbini province. This is 2.44 percent higher as compared to the same period of the previous year.

Of the total credit, Rupandehi District has the highest industrial credit flow of 62.97 percent while Rukum East has the lowest credit from BFIs that account to 0.05 percent.
