5 MW Electricity From Solar Project Connected To National Transmission Line

Five megawatts of electricity has been generated from solar in Belchautara, Shuklagandaki Municipality-5 of Tanahu. Solar Farm Pvt. Ltd. has constructed the solar project which has started generating electricity.

Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Pampha Bhushal inaugurated the project. On the occasion, Minister Bhushal said that it was necessary to increase the use of electronic appliances as the production of electricity was gradually increasing in the country.

The 5 MW electricity generated by Solar Farm Pvt. Ltd. has been connected to the national transmission line on Tuesday. The solar project has been completed with Rs 43 crores investment of non-residents at home and abroad.

Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has agreed to purchase the generated electricity at Rs 7.30 per unit for 25 years. At present, 13,500 panels have been connected to generate that amount of electricity. The electricity generated from the solar project is connected to the Belchautara substation.
