LIC Nepal Earns Rs 10.32 Arba Net Premium Until Third Quarter

LIC Nepal, one of the leading life insurance company reported a decent performance until the third quarter of 2076/77. Based on the unaudited report, the net premium of the company has increased by 17 percent to Rs. 10.32 Arba. The net premium stood at Rs. 8.79 Arba in the third quarter of the previous year. However, the net claim has grown by 24 percent to Rs. 2.74 Arba from Rs. 2.21 Arba.

In the third quarter of this fiscal year, the paid-up capital rose by 34 percent to Rs. 201 crores after the adjustment of bonus share. The reserves and surplus has declined by 13 percent to Rs. 50.61 crores. However, the life insurance fund expanded by 24 percent to a massive Rs. 63.68 Arba.

The life insurance company has made a total investment of Rs. 64.64 Arba until end of Chaitra, 2076. LIC Nepal earned Rs 4.52 Arba in nine months from its investments. The net profit stood at Rs. 10.76 crores.

The annualized EPS is at mere Rs 5.35 with net-worth per share at Rs. 136.90.
