Mega Bank Nepal Successfully Completes 11 Years Of Operation

Mega Bank Nepal Limited has successfully completed 11 years of operation and has entered into 12th year. Bhoj Bahadur Shah, Chairman of Mega Bank, informed that a five-year strategic plan has been prepared for the next five years on the occasion of the 11th anniversary.
Chairman Shah said, “We will focus on the mega bank’s investment in agriculture, energy, small and medium enterprises, and deprived sector loans as well as import substitution, export promotion, manufacturing, and employment-oriented industries as prioritized by the Nepal Rastra Bank.”
Anupama Khunjeli, CEO of Mega Bank, said that the journey of making Mega Bank prosperous and huge has been achieved due to the continuous support and unwavering trust of the founders, shareholders, board of directors, customers, regulatory body, staff, and stakeholders.
Over the past 11 years, Mega Bank has seen a huge increase in capital, business size, and branch network. Established as the 28th commercial bank in the country, Mega Bank ranks sixth in terms of paid-up capital.
As of Ashad’s end 2078 BS, the total deposit of Mega Bank is about Rs. 145 billion and the total loan is around Rs. 1.41 billion Mega Bank is serving more than 1.24 million customers through its 178 branch network, 137 ATMs, 33 extension counters, and 71 branchless banking services spread across 58 districts across the country with more than 1700 employees.
Mega Bank Nepal Limited has provided financial assistance of Rs. 1.2 million to the flood and landslide victims of Sindhupalchowk and Manang on the occasion of its 11th anniversary.
