Mountain Energy Nepal Proposes 15.79 Percent Dividend

Mountain Energy Nepal Limited (MEN) has announced the dividend to the shareholders. The dividend declaration is from the fiscal year 2080/81.

The board meeting of the company held on Mangsir 17, 2081 BS has proposed a 15.7895 percent dividend. The total dividend includes 15 percent bonus shares and 0.7895 percent cash dividend (for tax purposes).

As of Ashad’s end 2081 B.S., MEN has a paid-up capital of Rs. 2.26 Arba. At this capital, the bonus share amounts to Rs. 33.95 crores.

After the adjustment of bonus shares, the capital will increase to Rs. 2.60 Arba.

From the previous fiscal year 2079/80, the hydropower company had provided a 15.7895 percent dividend, including a 15 percent bonus share. Likewise, from the fiscal year 2078/79, MEN had distributed a 10.5263 percent cash dividend to the shareholders.

The company will distribute the dividend after the approval from Electricity Regulatory Commission and the upcoming  Annual General Meeting (AGM).
