Nepal Life Capital to Issue 16 Crore Units of ‘Nepal Life Samriddhi Lagani Yojana’ from Magh 4

Nepal Life Capital Limited has launched a new mutual fund scheme named “Nepal Life Samriddhi Lagani Yojana”. The fund manager is planning to issue 16 crores units at a par value of Rs. 10. Hence, the total issue amounts to Rs. 160 crores.

The public offering will open from Magh 4, 2082 BS. If fully subscribed, the issue will close on Magh 8, 2082 BS. However, if it remains under-subscribed until that period, the deadline for application will extend until Magh 18, 2082 BS.

The close-ended scheme “Nepal Life Samriddhi Lagani Yojana” will operate under “Nepal Life Mutual Fund”.

Out of the total public issue, 15 percent or 2.4 crore units of the fund will be purchased by Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited (14%), the promoter of the mutual fund and Nepal Life Capital Limited (1%), the fund manager. Therefore, the general public can participate in the remaining 13.6 crore units.

Interested investors can apply for a minimum of 100 units and a maximum of 1.6 crores units.

For this purpose, Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) has given the approval to the company on Poush 13, 2082 BS. The fund manager had submitted the application to the board on Bhadra 15, 2082 BS seeking permission to sell the units to the public. Only after the permission from the regulatory body SEBON, the mutual fund scheme can be floated to the general public.

After the allotment of the scheme, it will be listed and traded on the Nepal stock exchange.
