NRB also implements cooling period for second man of commercial banks

NRB issued a circular on Poush 6, 2075. The circular is related to the cooling period of directors & chief executive officer of BFIs, and deputy executive of commercial banks.

NRB implemented the cooling period of  6 months for a director. Any director who leaves his post for any reason shall have to wait at least 6 months to work as the director in any BFIs. Also, the chief executive officer (CEO) will also have to wait for 6 months.

In case of deputy executive or second man of a commercial bank, the cooling period will also be of 6 months after he exits from his current job.
