Agriculture, Livestock and Medicinal Herb Insurance Directives Comes Into Effect From Shrawan 1

The Insurance Board has issued Agriculture, Livestock and Medicinal Herb Insurance Directives 2079 to be implemented from Shrawan 1, 2079 BS [July 17, 2022].
Rajuraman Paudel, the Executive Director and Spokesperson of the board, informed that the Insurance Directives 2077 has been cancelled and provision has been made to insure the cultivation of herbs.
As per the new directives, the insurance company should carry out insurance business of agriculture, livestock and medicinal herbs in the designated district. Likewise, the insurance company should open a branch office in the district near the agricultural knowledge center or the agriculture and livestock service office.
There is a provision in the directives that the agriculture, livestock and medicinal herb insurance can be done collectively.
