Bagmati State Government To Establish Powdered Milk Production Industry

The Bagmati state government is going to set up a powdered milk production industry. The state government is going to established an industry in Sisaughari located in Hetauda Sub-metropolis-10.

The State Dairy Development Board estimates that the industry will collect 60,500 liters of milk daily from 5,600 farmers in Bara, Parsa, Rautahat, Chitwan and Makwanpur. 5 metric tons of produced and packed powdered milk (daily) will be provided to the local markets, hotels and general consumers of all the seven states.

The Ministry of Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives has invited bids for the construction of the administrative building and plant of the industry on two bighas and two katthas of land.

The amount has been transferred to the State Dairy Development Board for the establishment of the industry at a cost of Rs 451.2 million. The board has set a target of producing 5 metric tonnes of powdered milk daily in the coming fiscal year 2078-79 BS.
