Government To Bring Policies & Programs Today For Coming Fiscal Year

The government is going to bring policies and programs for the coming fiscal year focusing on the solution of the crisis created by COVID-19. In the policy and program of the Fiscal Year 2077/78 to be unveiled by President Bidyadevi Bhandari in the Joint House of the Federal Parliament on Friday at 4 pm, priority will be given to health infrastructure, job creation and facilities and financial package for the areas affected by COVID-19.
This third year policy and program of the KP Sharma Oli-led government will not be as ambitious as the last two years. Stating that it is not possible to implement ambitious programs at a time when the crisis is escalating due to COVID-19, this time the government is only emphasizing on urgent and especially programs to solve the problems created by the crisis. A meeting of the Council of Ministers is being held this afternoon to pass the policy and program.
The main emphasis in the annual policy and program will be on how to create employment and increase agricultural production. For this, development of digital farming system, minimum stock of all kinds of fertilizers and seeds, market and price assurance of farmers’ products will be included. Programs such as use of barren land, chaklabandi, large scale farming, contract farming, small and lift irrigation, agricultural road are also being included in the policy and program.
