Jyoti Bikas Bank To Support National Innovation Center

Jyoti Bikas Bank Limited, on the occasion of its 12th anniversary, announced to collaborate with the National Innovation Center on the project of “Warm Baby” Baby Warmer promoted by Dr. Mahabir Pun through its Social Responsibility Development Promotion Fund. The agreement has been signed on Shrawan 26, 2077.

According to the agreement signed by Mr. Srichandra Bhatt, Chief Executive Officer of Jyoti Bikas Bank and Dr. Mahavir Pun, Chairman of the National Innovation Center, Jyoti Bikas Bank will provide Rs. 800,000 to the National Innovation Center to develop the Baby Warmer. These equipments will be provided to various rural and inaccessible hospitals in the country through the joint cooperation of both the organizations.

The baby warmer used to keep the body temperature of the newborn baby, will also help in reducing the infant mortality rate in different parts of the country.

At present, Jyoti Bikas Bank is providing services all over Nepal through 105 branch offices, 1 extension counter and 61 ATMs. So far, the bank has collected about Rs. 37 billion in deposits from more than 3 lakh accounts. Likewise, it has provided Rs 31 billion as loans and advances to more than 20,000 borrowers.
