NRB Unveils Monetary Policy For Fiscal Year 2080/81

Nepal Rastra Bank has unveiled its monetary policy for the current financial year 2080/81. The policy was announced following a meeting of the board of directors on Sunday.

Under the new monetary policy, the policy rate has been reduced by 50 basis points to 6.5 percent. However, the bank rate remains unchanged at 7.5 percent. Additionally, the deposit collection rate has been revised from 5.5 percent to 4.5 percent.

The monetary policy aligns with the broader economic goals of the fiscal year 2080/81, which aims for a target economic growth of 6 percent.
