Samata Gharelu Laghubitta Acquires Manakamana Smart Laghubitta | Joint Transaction from Today

Samata Gharelu Laghubitta Bittiya Santha Limited (SMATA) has successfully acquired Manakamana Smart Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (MKLB). The joint operation will commence in the name of ‘Samata Gharelu Laghubitta Bittiya Santha Limited’ from Ashad 24, 2081 BS.
Nepal Rastra Bank gave approval for the acquisition on Jestha 29, 2081 BS. Likewise, Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) and office of company registrar gave their approval on Ashad 9, 2081 BS and Ashad 11, 2081 BS respectively.
The preliminary agreement for the acquisition (MOU) between two companies was signed on Bhadra 7, 2080 BS [August 24, 2023]. The chairman of both microfinance companies had signed the agreement for merger/acquisition.
