Samata Gharelu Laghubitta To Acquire Manakamana Smart Laghubitta

Samata Gharelu Laghubitta Bittiya Santha Limited (SMATA) is going to acquire Manakamana Smart Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (MKLB).
The preliminary agreement for the acquisition (MOU) between two companies has been signed today i.e. Bhadra 7, 2080 BS [August 24, 2023]. The chairman of both microfinance companies signed the agreement for merger/acquisition.
As of Ashad’s end 2080 BS, Samata Gharelu Laghubitta has a paid-up capital of Rs. 39.41 crores while Manakamana Smart Laghubitta has a paid-up capital of Rs. 14.84 crores.
After the acquisition agreement, the trading of shares of principal shareholders has remained halted in Nepal Stock Exchange.
