State-3 to be called ‘Bagmati State’ with ‘Hetauda’ as the permanent capital

The Assembly of State-3 has passed the proposal of the naming of the state and finalizing the permanent capital.

With the full majority of votes, the assembly has approved the proposal of naming State 3 as ‘Bagmati State’.

All the 108 votes were in favor of the proposal forwarded by Dor Mani Poudel, Chief Minister of State-3, now forward to be referred to as ‘Bagmati State’.

On Saturday, the all-party meeting decided to present only one proposal of naming State-3 as Bagmati State to the State Assembly.

Likewise, the Assembly has also selected Hetauda as the permanent capital of Bagmati State with 105 votes in favor and 3 votes against it.

During the voting, 108 members of the State Assembly took part in the process.
