Eastern Hydropower Limited to Float 1:0.871 Right Share

Eastern Hydropower Limited (EHPL) is planning to sell right shares to the shareholders.
The company has decided to float the right shares in the ratio 1:0.871. This means that the shareholders with 100 shares can apply for the additional 87.1 shares.
For this purpose, the company has received pre-approval from Electricity Regulatory Commission.
As of Ashad’s end 2083 BS, EHPL has a paid up capital of Rs. 62 crores. Hence, the company has plans to sell 54,00,092.743 right shares worth Rs. 54 crores. After the right issue, the paid-up capital will reach Rs. 116 crores.
Eastern Hydropower Limited is currently operating a 5 MW Pikhuwa Khola Small Hydropower Project at Paluwa of Bhojpur Municipality-6, Bhojpur. The project started commercial electricity generation from Jestha 27, 2076 BS.
