Sudurpaschim Province to Contribute 7.13 Percent to National GDP

As per the Central Bureau of Statistics, Sudurpaschim Province will contribute 7.13 percent in the national Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the fiscal year 2080/81.
The gross domestic product of the province will grow at 3.41 percent in the current fiscal year. The revised growth rate of the previous year 2079/80 is 1.52 percent.
Agriculture sector has contributed highest to the GDP of the Sudurpaschim Province with 33 percent share.
As of Poush end of 2080 BS, banks and financial institutions have floated Rs. 15.40 Arba as loans and advances to the agricultural sector of the Sudurpaschim province. This is 8.07 percent higher as compared to the end of Ashad, 2080 BS.
Similarly, the capacity utilization of industries in the province is at 49.98 percent.
According to a provincial study report of NRB, the capacity utilization of sugar, bricks, and concrete producing industries is higher. On the other hand, rosin producing industries have the lowest capacity utilization.
Until the Poush end of 2080 BS, banks and financial institutions have floated Rs. 25.22 Arba as loans and advances to the industrial sector of the Sudurpaschim province. This is 6.18 percent lower as compared to the end of Ashad, 2080 BS.
Of the total credit, Kailali District has the highest industrial credit flow of 79.82 percent while Bajura has the lowest credit from BFIs that account to 0.19 percent.
