Tender Called For Siddhababa Tunnel Connecting Rupandehi-Palpa

The much awaited Siddhababa tunnel in the border area of ​​Rupandehi and Palpa has called for tender. The tender was held today after the budget for the construction of the tunnel on the Butwal-Tansen road section of the Siddhartha Highway was secured. This road is a high risk area for landslides.

 The Federal Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport had started the process to build the tunnel in the risky Siddhababa area. The Ministry of Finance has assured a budget of Rs 10 billion for the construction of the tunnel and the process has been taken forward on the same basis. The information has been made public with a time limit of 45 days. After that, the construction work will move forward.

 It is mentioned in the tender that the tunnel will be completed within five years. About 5 km. The Siddhababa Tunnel Road project will have a tunnel of 1,126 meters, double lane rock shed of 780 meters, rock net at the top, slope protection and other works.

 The tunnel will start from the side of the Chidiakhola on the north side of the Siddhababa temple in Palpa. The tunnel, which starts from Chidiakhola gorge, will run north of Ramapithecus Park near Dobhan.
