32500 Metric Tons Of Urea Fertilizer Arrived From Bangladesh

32,500 metric tonnes of urea fertilizer purchased from Bangladesh has arrived in Nepal. As per the agreement between the governments (G2G) for the purchase of chemical fertilizers, the urea fertilizer has arrived at the Regional Office of Krishi Samagri Company Limited, Birgunj.

As per the G2G agreement, the Government of Bangladesh will provide 50,000 metric tons of urea fertilizer to the Government of Nepal. The remaining 17,500 metric tonnes of urea fertilizer will reach the dry port customs office at Sirsiya in Birgunj by rail via Kolkata port.

The Government of Nepal has planned to import 50,000 metric tons of manure from Bangladesh to prevent shortage of manure during the paddy season.     

In Parsa, 90 percent farmers have been cultivating paddy. Paddy is being cultivated in a total area of ​​46,000 hectares in Parsa.
