4G Users In Nepal Reach One Crore

The 4G users in Nepal have reached nearly 1 crore.

According to the Nepal Telecommunication Authority, in the five years since the launch of the 4G service, the number of 4G users in Nepal has exceeded 99.54 lakh till the end of Ashad, 2078 BS [July, 2021].

Currently, three telecommunication service providers are providing 4G service in Nepal. They are- Nepal Telecom, Ncell and Smart Telecom. Ncell has the highest 4G users among the three with 50.42 lakh users. Similarly, the number of 4G users of Nepal Telecom has exceeded 47.44 lakh. On the other hand, Smart Telecom, has only 166,000 4G users.

In the last fiscal year 2077/78, Nepal Telecom has added about 40 lakh 4G users while Ncell has added 20 lakh 4G users. However, the 4G users of Smart Telecom has declined by 50,000 in the last year.
